Welcome!

Here's a little bit about Us...

Antrim School of Music CIC was founded by Vicki Kyles in June 2019, re-branding from her formerly established teaching practice "VK Music". Vicki is a qualified piano and singing teacher, and has been teaching for approximately 15 years. She has successfully attained the Diploma in Music Teaching and now the Diploma in Early Childhood Music Teaching from the London College of Music.

Plans were in place to fully launch the school shortly after but in 2020, the world faced the COVID-19 pandemic, and plans were on hold. By 2021 Vicki had been joined by Rebecca McPolin - Clulow, Director of ASM, to expand the school services provision. Rebecca had over 15 years experience of performance, music technology and recording work but also had a strong background in leading music workshops for local councils, schools and the education board. Rebecca's had obtained her Grade 8 in electric Guitar and Bass guitar, and had a background in songwriting, EDM composition and live sound and lighting technical support. Her connections in the music community allowed her to expand the services to include the "rock" and Electronic music element that had not be present before. Rebecca is also a professional sustainability consultant, currently completing her Master in Leadership for Sustainable Development at QUB, and is committed to making ASM an organisation that focuses on sustainability and positive environmental practices.

The school was now on a clear path to offering a wide variety of tuition services and workshops.

The school then partially launched in late September 2021 and we now offer a huge menu of services. We were then successful in November 2021 officially becoming a Community Interest Company - that means, we are a not for profit organisation.
